We want you to be successful in your exams. The best way to do that is with good preparation.
Content Outlines
We have prepared detailed content outlines for every exam we offer. They cover what topics are included in the exam and make an excellent study tool. Find content outlines on your specific exam page.

Practice Tests
Practice tests are a valuable prep tool. They give you a first hand look at both questions and the exam taking interface.
To register for a practice test:
- Sign into your portal
- Select “Application Center”
- Select “Sign Up/View Practice Test”
Practice tests cost $50 USD. They are scored but do not provide information on which questions you got incorrect.
Hotspot Questions
Hotspot questions are advanced questions that measure your practical sonography skills. Answer questions about an individual image by marking directly on it.

Exam Day
- Make your exam day a success with these important tips:
- Confirm test center location
- Arrive early — 30 minutes, minimum
- Don’t forget your compliant ID
- Get a good night’s sleep
- Travel light — no items are allowed into the testing room
- White boards are available for note taking by request
