Annual Renewal Fee
Annual renewal fees help Inteleos fulfill its mission of fueling the global health community to ensure equitable access to quality care. Renewal fees support examination development and administration, growth of certification programs, webinars and other educational resources, and advanced technology.
Important Renewal Dates
- The renewal period opens in September each year.
- All fees are due by December 31.
- Fees are on a calendar year cycle. Renewal fees apply to retaining Active Status for the coming year.
Certificants who earn their first certification in December have a grace period until February 28 to renew for the upcoming year.
Non-payment will result in revocation of certification. Reinstatement fees will apply.

What happens if you do not renew
Failure to complete renewal steps and renewal fee payment results in certification revocation and loss of Active status.
Without Active status:
- You cannot represent yourself as an Active certificant, including any misstatement of fact about being currently certified in any specialty to current employers or others.
- You can no longer display your credentials, certificates, or digital badges.
- You must immediately cease all such unauthorized use of ARDMS or APCA credentials.
- Continuing to represent yourself as certified is prohibited and such unauthorized activity may result in you being subject to a compliance review, in addition to being responsible for the payment of all attorney’s fees incurred by ARDMS in our efforts to compel you to refrain from any unauthorized use of ARDMS credential designations.
- The deadline for final reinstatement, including all fees and CMEs, is August 1, 2026.
