Inteleos Research Network

A collaborative network for evidence and impact

The Inteleos Research Network builds tomorrow’s healthcare. Research, practice, and innovation converge here to support career-long learning and safer practice worldwide.

Benefits of Working with the Inteleos Research Network

Now’s the time to shape the future. Joining the IRN means contributing expertise to a committed network that values peer representation, accountability, and shared progress.

  • Contribute to research that impacts learners and patient care worldwide
  • Collaborate with global leaders in healthcare education and certification
  • Be among the first to learn about Calls for Participation
  • Learn about emerging technologies (e.g., spatial web, XR, AI) and how they might be applied to education and assessment

2025 Session Project

Abdominal VR Research and Development

The IRN is working with Vantari VR and six Participating Research Centers (sonographer education programs) in North America. We’re currently beta’ing AB content across four modules to collect real user data, and evaluate scoring, guidance, feedback, and image fidelity.

Community project: perinatal mental health

Explore groundbreaking research from Dr. Kathryn Humphreys, whose team demonstrated that the language used during prenatal visits, particularly during ultrasound examinations, can significantly impact children – with links that can persist well into the child’s early years.

A small group of Nurses sit at a boardroom table as they meet to discuss patient cases. They are each dressed professionally in scrubs and have stethoscopes around their necks as they discuss plans of care for each case.

Community project: sonographer well-being

This project seeks to examine psychological wellbeing within the sonography workforce from a positive psychology perspective. Help Parker Stanley, RDMS, RMSKS, RVT, a PhD candidate from Virginia Commonwealth University, shift the narrative from simply reducing burnout to understanding the conditions that enable healthcare professionals to thrive in their work.
Evidence suggests that flourishing workers demonstrate higher professional satisfaction, stronger engagement, improved retention, and greater workforce stability.
Survey expected summer 2026.
