The Certification Board of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CBCMR) certification program validates your expertise in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MR).

Overview

Certification matters–to you, your patients, and your practice. With CBCMR, validate your mastery in cardiovascular magnetic resonance and demonstrate your commitment to exceptional patient care.

The exam assesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities that leaders in the field need. It signals expertise in CMR protocols, image interpretation, and clinical applications across ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathies, valvular disease, and congenital cardiac conditions—beyond what is required for medical licensure.

Topics and Anatomy

  • Preparing patients for CMR studies
  • Selecting appropriate protocols
  • Conducting CMR studies in a spectrum of scenarios
  • Interpreting study results
  • Post-processing and associated tasks
  • Physics and instrumentation
  • Modality fundamentals

CBCMR is the qualified specialty exam for CBCMR certification and Diplomate status.
