Why Inteleos Members Are Protected in the Wake of the Largest Education Data Breach in History
May 5, 2026
Inteleos members are already protected, your credentials are secured through our partnership with Credivera’s cryptographically sealed digital wallet. On April 30, 2026, Canvas (owned by Instructure) experienced the largest education data breach in history, exposing data for 275 million individuals.
Inteleos was not affected. Here’s what happened, why it matters to the broader credentialing landscape, and how to claim your own protected wallet today.
How Inteleos is Already Prepared for Incidents Like This
Through our partnership with Credivera, Inteleos has enabled a digital wallet that is available to all individuals in our member network, allowing them to digitally claim and own their education credentials in a safe, secure, and cryptographically sealed way. The digital wallet is free and available through the MyARDMS or MyAPCA portal. The enablement of this digital wallet brings tamper resistant proof of authenticity to education data, creates stronger fraud resistance, and puts the individual in greater control of their own data while also making it harder for hackers to execute another breach like this.
Once you have downloaded your wallet, request your Verified Education Proofs. Please note that Verified Education Proofs are currently only available for degrees earned in the United States.
