ABVM certifications (Vascular and Endovascular) follow the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program, which replaces the 10-year recertification exam. Find your dates below.
How you move into MOC
Certifications expiring 12/31/2026 and beyond transition to MOC in the year they are set to expire (the 10th year). Once you transition, you follow the standard MOC process each year, and every component is visible in your MyPortal.
Existing certificants
Start MOC in the tenth year, the year your certification is set to expire.
Newly certified
All new ABVM certifications earned after 1/1/2026 begin MOC upon earning the certification.

Payment is made through MyPortal each September.

*Unless you hold another active ARDMS, RPVI, or RMSK certification. In that case, your current three-year CME period remains in place. The requirement is 25 APCA-accepted CMEs in any area, regardless of the number of certifications held.
**If you currently hold RPVI and/or RMSK, the CME period ending 12/31/2026 is the last in which 30 specialty-specific CMEs are required.
